Sub: Exemption u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961 - Reg.

Ref: Your application dated 15-12-2000.

 

Deduction in respect of donations to Weaker Welfare Association, No.1/28, Amman Koil Street, Viralimalai, Pudukkottai, will be allowed u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 in the hands of donors, subject to the limits prescribed therein.

 

2.          This exemption is initially valid in respect of donations received by the Trust from

15-12-2000 to 31-03-2002. In the receipts issued by the trust, the fact that exemption will be available for donations received from 15-12-2000 to 31-03-2002 should clearly be mentioned. You can apply for renewal, if necessary, through the Assessing Officer having jurisdiction over the case after the accounts are closed for the period ended

31-03-2002.
